In the 1980s, Richard F. Rosen created an innovative accommodation system including TDD relay and a network of sign language interpreters. The free TDD system founded by Dr. Rosen was a precursor to the AT&T, MCI, state and national networks of TDD relay which is now supported by the general public under ADA. Dr. Rosen continues to provide sign language interpreter services to this day within the corporate structure of Sign Language USA, LLC. A licensed attorney and mortgage broker, Dr. Rosen uses sign language in working with deaf and hearing impaired clients. He hopes to be a role model to other professionals by encouraging them to reach out to individuals with special needs.
